We had a great first week in The Shapes of Algebra. Now it is time to find out how great. This week we will assess our work with inequalities with a QUIZ.
Here is your CAN list:

• Can you create an equation to represent a given situation?
• Can you tell the difference between a variable and fix cost (or income)?
• Can you solve for "X" in an equation or an inequality?
• Can you create a number line representation of an inequality solution set?
• Can you define the terms inequality and solution set?

If you can, then you will be successful. Remember the grade book is closed for all assignments except your project and the quiz, so please take the time to review and do the Quiz worksheet.

Welcome to The Shapes of Algebra. With our linear tool kit intact we will begin investigating basic algebraic concepts. This week we will work with inequalities. Many mathematicians believe that inequalities are the heart of mathematics. In this weeks investigation you will explore the utility and power of inequalities, using equations, graphs and even the "good old" number line to represent problem solutions.
Please remember to turn in assignments timely for full credit.
