Assignment and Information for the Week of 10/29/07

This week we continue the unit on exponential functions in Growing, Growing, Growing. Now that we have an understanding of what happens in an exponential function we can look further into the causes and effects with Growth Factors and Growth Rates. We will use several different exercises to discuss these new topics.This week we will continue using the daily organizer sheet we created. This success tool is only effective if you use it. So keep your work together and organized and this weeks Quiz will be no problem. I mean it will have problems on it but they will be no.... you know what I mean.

Assignment and Information for the Week of 10/22/07

This week with the MEAP's behind us we will start the unit on exponential functions called Growing, Growing, Growing. We will use several different exercises to build a foundation for understanding the properties of Exponential functions. With a new book comes new opportunities to improve our learning environment. This week we will begin using the daily organizer sheet we created with the hope of keeping our brains (and binders) uncluttered and ready for success.

Assignment and Information for the Week of 10/15/07

This week we will start preparing for a unit on exponential functions called Growing, Growing, Growing. We will look back at the discussion of variables from last years classwork which hopefully will move some obstacles out of our way. The main focus of this week is the MEAP testing that began 10/9. It is important that all students are as prepared to be successful as possible. In support of that goal no homework will be assigned during the testing. It is my hope that each student will use that time to rest and relax their brain so that they are ready when the exams are given.

Assignment and Information for the Week of 10/8/07

This week we will extend our investigation of the Pythagorean Theorem as it relates to special triangles and how we can use it to find perimeters of figures. The main focus of the next two weeks however is the MEAP testing that begins 10/9. It is important that all students are as prepared to be successful as possible. In support of that goal no homework will be assigned during the testing.
